Introduction

Science Fiction, as a subject of literature and speculation, began in the early 1800s with "Frankenstein", "Adventures of Hans Pfall" to 1950s, the era of a more concrete concepts, like
"The Black Cloud", "Foundation Series" and "Dune".

My interest into Science Fiction began much later than my foray into Fantasy.

Though I knew about it from my teenage, I only liked this subject as a fleeting, glancing interest than the obsession of a fanboy or as a  serious hobby As a kid, I used to visit Planetoriums to view beautiful Night Sky, journeys to end of galaxies with an incredible awe.

However, that interest was purely visual and aural, as I had very few means or the mindset of analytical ordering the stuff that i had seen or learnt. Even in our schools, space or alien life or faster than light travel weren't subjects that we could study, which made my interests temporary.

As I grew up, that  temporal interest of an adolescent was enhanced by the internet (where I could view beautiful Cosmic Backgrounds and hear space music),  novels (War of the Worlds, The Second Kind), the games (Halo) and movies (Interstellar, Avengers Saga).

Warhammer 40K, an important game on Sci-Fi, had a lore which I used to read with intensity.

Finally, it climaxed with the culmination of my getting the game "Age of Wonders Planetfall" which made me dissect the game's science fiction elements like I used to do with fantasy.

Infact, Age of Wonders series had been a fantasy series until 2019, whence "Planetfall" made a daring, and radically different entrance to the Science Fiction World.

Cutting to the end, this blog will be divided into two parts. First will be a rendition of my unit-categorization, speculation into vast galactic empires, their militaries, technologies and origins and the second part will deal with the "hard science fiction", where i discuss what possibilities do the humans have if they want to prolong their stay in this universe.

Happy Exploring!
